Central licence server Browser32 server acts as a central point of contact for all Browser32 clients on the network and works alongside the Dalet database and audio servers. The server software runs as a service and requires very low CPU and network bandwidth. All client versions after and including Browser32 version 5.26 can connect to the server. Easier client roll-outs All Browser32 registration numbers are stored in the server and are returned to the Browser32 client software on request. This makes it easier to deploy the client software using deployment systems (such as “Altiris”, “ManageSoft”, etc..). The client only needs to know where to find the Browser32 server on the network, this setting is common to all clients. Manageable licences A separate “Server Manager” application makes it possible to manage all licences at one central location. This is particularly useful for companies with different registration numbers, instead of one multi-user registration number for all clients. The “Server Manager” can be run on the server and one or more administrator workstations. This software connects to the server in the same way as the Browser32 clients.
