Product updates (latest versions)

Audio Conversion Engine Lite - version 4.08
Two improvements have been made to the software since version 4.06:

A bug fix for a bug which occurs when ACE moves files from the watch folder to the processed or error folders, and this takes longer than expected. Due to the length of time taken to do the file transfer, ACE created a new conversion job for the file which was still in the watch folder (in the process of being moved). This has now been fixed - conversion jobs are marked as "completed" after the original file has been moved and new jobs are no longer created.

Audio Conversion Engine Lite now works correctly when the user account is not a member of the administrators group, or a different user to the one that installed the software.

Get more information and download the latest version from the dBpoweramp website.

Audio Conversion Engine Lite is a stand-alone audio converter built on the rock-solid dBpoweramp platform (with over 20 million users worldwide) and can be used in situations where a connection to a Dalet system is not required.

Browser32 - version 5.38
A number of improvements have been made to the software since version 5.36:

The "last modified" field can now be displayed in a new column in the audio items listview.

An extra button has been added to the toolbar in the main window, which opens an FTP settings window. FTP servers can be managed by the users in this window (servers can be added, modified and deleted). Each Windows user can setup their own FTP servers and default accounts.

A new feature and bug fix for converting items to audio CD, using the dBpoweramp R12/13 Audio CD codec; Information files (XML, INF, CSV, VOL) were written sometimes when using the codec (dependant on settings used for other codecs), this has been fixed. A new feature allows a temporary directory to be setup for the Audio CD codec, this directory is used when audio files need to be localized to a local hard drive (when the audio file format is different to the file extension).

Download the latest version from the download page at our website.

Browser32 is an easy-to-use addition to Dalet systems, giving cheap and easy access to audio items in the Dalet database.

PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT

Audio Conversion Engine - podcasting

More and more companies are discovering what Audio Conversion Engine can do for them. ABC in Australia has just started using this software to prepare and publish it's radio podcasts. Many other companies are using the pro-version to publish podcasts directly from their Dalet systems.

The pro-version can react to changes in the Dalet database (e.g. an updated audio item or an item added to a category) and automatically convert the audio and publish it to a website, including an RSS feed (XML file).

See the our website or drop us a line for more details.

CURRENTLY IN BETA

New dBpoweramp DSP effect codecs

Two new DSP effect codecs are currently being beta tested and can be downloaded as part of the dBpoweramp DSP pack R6 (release 6).

The first DSP allows an extra audio file (e.g. a radio station ident or commercial) to be added to the start and/or end of the converted audio files. The second DSP writes a metadata file next to the converted audio file, this can be written in virtually any format through the use of XSLT transformation files.

The DSP's are primarily designed for use by companies that create Podcasts or other web downloads and can be used independently of each other.

Both DSP's can be used with dBpoweramp, Browser32 and Audio Conversion Engine Lite.

The DSP pack can be downloaded via: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=20160
